For the negative types – you might want to not read this post. For the conservatives – you might not want to either, but for those of us who get excited about a few things in life – well, join the club.

Time’s up. Thousands of hours of research, hundreds of metres of aircore, months of pouring over areomags and maps --- The drums have rolled, the bow is finally drawn and the fingers are straightened ------------ the first arrow heads straight for one of the best targets.

Treasure Island elephant season just opened.

Well, at least that’s my information – we are drilling – or at least as long as the motor started – we are spinning – sending a diamond into the guts of the earth as quick as it can go.
Now we wait whilst the arrow flies – all we can hear is the high pitch of a violin as the tension hangs in the air.

Yes we have got Coolgardie – growing massively, enough to send cw to the bourbon bottle. Yes, we have Laverton – turning like a large ship and looking like the overhaul is going to give us massive horse power. Yes, we have great signs of friendly negations with our new Chinese mates.

But -------------- the excitement for me right now really - is Treasure Island.

Right in the guts of the most valuable fault on the planet, untouched, neighbours with over 60million ounce deposits, 15 to 20 million ounce deposits, several multi million ounce deposits nearby -------- and we have a twin set of huge targets of which the first one we have given attention to has given us some of the most hopeful signs of any tenement on a salt lake – ever.

For 5 cents and about a mc of $200m+ ---------- can it get any more exciting than this? There appears to be at least one body down there and it is bleeding up through the rock into the mud (for want of a better word) – and our arrow is sailing right for one of the heaviest bleed spots.

The waiting has been an agony – waiting for deals, waiting for the market to see what some of us can see, for all sorts of reasons, painfully waiting whilst watching that damm daily chart gently slope south east with an apathy only akin to a non-drinker driving past a pub.

So now we can safely say – basically from here on in – anything can happen. Yep, we might have to wait for the cores to come up and go away to the labs in their little groups, and we might have to wait the usual agony period for results – and we may have to wait until Dean and co put the picture together for us so we don’t get the wrong idea ---------------------------- BUT, if any one of those arrows goes right up an elephant’s bum then the word just might not be able to be contained.

Watch the volume. Listen to the rumours – they just might be right this time.

Realise this – no matter what else happens with fml – if one owns enough shares – then TI just might feed your family for the rest of your life, elephants do that.

Remember back to when Dean spoke of the diamonds ------------------- ‘after the geochem, we pin the beast down’. What’s different from then?
The beast looks like it could be massive, far bigger than we thought before – and, there looks like there could be more than one of them.

Make no mistake, whatever this is – at this stage all the signs look textbook and the thing looks enormous. It’s not a matter of gold – it’s how much.

So at this time when gold stocks are as hard to sell as a fresh case of the clap, when market sentiment in general is ?interesting, when gold is having a moody month and just being generally emotional – beware madam – she could rear up out of this lake like a woman possessed ------------ never forget what Meatloaf says ------------------------- “Good girls go to heaven, bad girls go everywhere”

Hmmm – he also said “Every golden nugget coming like a gift from the gods” ---------- bright guy.
