I can’t exactly say he’s a disappointment because I thought it was always clear that he was going to be a visionless ineffective leader. My understanding is however that he is a ruthless factional leader who spends a lot of time shoring up his power within the ranks and is brutal with those he see as not loyal to him. Anyone who supported shorten in the vote for leadership was sidelined and he has made sure that no one else can challenge him
and so we have a government that stands for nothing and has successfully created this sense of a country going nowhere
but the alternative is terrifying. How is it that Australia (like many other countries however) cannot find a political leader with guts and vision and know how.
