If you give a left-wing govt the power over what constitutes the truth, then we all will end up having less free speech. They will abuse the privilege. This is happening in Canada, the US. Brazil, and the UK. The law has developed deformation laws for such a thing. The state is not in a position to understand or enforce what truth might be because they lie for a living. They also have a deep political conflict of interest. Any left-wing voter who thinks their party should have this power, is a fool. Their children will hate them down the track. We will all lose our freedoms. It’s not paranoia, this is an historical well worn path. Politicians are not to be trusted. They have a tendency to lie and corrupt good ideas. If you don’t like what someone says, move on or comment. The idea that only one side of politics is always right is an example of stupidity.
