thank you for your post. I simply do not understand why someone can spend their time bagging a country they were born in and continue to talk about.

i agree that there are many fine and talented Australians with vision energy and smarts. We continue to do things with far less resource then many other countries and our contribution to the world is better than many on a per capita basis. Our universities rank better than France, particularly when you look at population, on crime France is more problematic. He clearly hasn’t noticed that customers in France have learnt to accept a laissez faire attitude and endless bureaucracy.

All the things that he complains about here exist in other countries but two things - before 2011 he had n never been outside Australia apart from a tiny period in nz. His first passport he got around 2006 in his fifties and I could tell you a few stories about all the countries he didn’t like. He has simply decided to change his tune.

he is a chameleon. If you took his advice and looked at posts from years back you’d see another aspect of a boastful, arrogant and dismissive know all. Or not so many years ago - when he objectified and discussed women in an abhorrent and abusive way. or when he decided to post a detailed description of a sh…t he had done in Vietnam - that’s truly weird stuff.

If one lives life determined to find fault it is always going to be possible to do so. If you live life with optimism and decency and love there’s what you find. Someone who needs to tell you about how smart they are, how no one listens to him, how stupid everyone else - they are the ones with a problem. Mostly I think that inside, but firmly bricked over to avoid ever having to look at it, is a small irrelevant child who struggles with the idea that they have had an unsuccessful life.

I feel sorry for him but at the same time it is no surprise that he continues to be an angry, arrogant and consistently negative human
