    Well surely the precedent is the money germany paid to the jews ( and their heirs )as restitution for the holocaust.
    I am neither for or against the possibility of legal action,the known knowns are that slavery occurred, and the british govt. reimbursed the owners of slaves, and the debt was only paid off in full, in 2015.
    IMO, the only idiots are those who think there is no merit in the possible legal action
