Poseidon was a mineral exploration company that was working in Western Australia during the late 1960's. I'm pretty sure they were the first company to discover what turned out to be the first economic Sulphide Nickel deposit in Australia. I now refer you to a posting by senator2004, posting #9159104. he gives an excellent summary on the company and events that led to the discovery at the time.
