the contract signed by sanofi doesn't warrant an upfront, hence I don't believe there is one at this moment. All it warrants are customisation fees, which have been released already . AstraZeneca contract is a prime example , no specifics / molecules no upfront.

if there is an upfront can anyone please tell me what is for!!!

as stated before pharma pays to types of payments , customisation fees= development of product and then only then upfront for product .
