There is an upfront but I doubt we will hear about how much it is due to other agreements being finalised with other pharma and the company not wanting them to see how much that is. In my opinion and others have expressed the same, I'd say Unilife took care of Sanofi as they are an existing partner and are also to open up the doors with their partners they are in collaboration with.

In addition to an upfront payment and device sales, Unilife anticipates it will receive approximately $50 million from customization programs relating to Sanofi molecules and indications. Additional revenue is also expected from customization programs conducted under joint collaborations with Sanofi partners
