The heading should read: "The slow death of Western Auto Manufacturers" with their demise being nudged along by China who is now the world's biggest auto manufacturer accounting for over 30% of global auto manufacturing (30 million + units P/A and growing) with 20% of those EVs.
Just look at our top BEV sellers in Aus? They are made in China/Chinese owned ...eg Tesla 3 & Y MG Volvo GWM/Haval BYD etc etc etc.
While the 2 western auto leaders , Toyota & VW are hanging on to their OECD market shares, there is an increasing %age of their components Made in China.
Petrol heads, like smokers and anti-vaxxers are a dying breed who simply dont realise it!
