    And on stocks specifically....

I also like BNB I got a 5% rashie burn for jumping in prematurly but fundamentally it appears OK. It's in Profit territory and has some extremely strong assets on its books. I do not like the way that it is structured though with investments in each of the listed entities from which it earns a fee and believe this company was set up to profiteer the Board (60m shares 20%) and employees (53m shares 20%) before shareholders and to this extent it scares me a little (a lot). The fact that it does not fully disclose Director remunerations only to say that 18 people received $129M (!!!!) in 2007 and $106M (!!!!) in 2006 is very very poor... almost laughable when Financial advisers have to spill and spell out every minor penny of pitance.

I see BNB in a similar vein to Lend Lease (LLC). If (when) it comes out of this slump, I can easily see this stock climbing 100% (or significantly more above its current value). The lack of Margin Lender support for the stock does bug me but also would be a major contributor to its shortening. If and when this stock is put back on the ML's books the stock will fly.

It has been an interesting couple of weeks for the stock with a protracted rumor of Deutsche sniffing aroung at $2.50 bid price, whether this was hot air or not only the Board would know. Deutsche incidentally was the financier whom backed NABs Deravative contracts. BNB has a "smarm" quotient to it like MQG. It is slick and quick and this scares the pants out of cautious investors. A little humility and outward Board strength would do this stock the World of good.
