    They lent them $5m at 12% for a business that will generate $2.5m in EBITDA. I would take that deal too.

    As GiddyYup says they have a disastrous history of buying things and breaking them. There is absolutely nothing I've seen that indicates they have changed. As I've said a thousand times on here, the RFG playbook was to buy a fairly generic business in a popular category (donuts, pizza, coffee) and then rinse a bunch of hapless franchisees by selling them dreams. Once fleecing franchisees was taken off the table, all they were left with was a bunch of generic, low value franchise systems. A meat pie shop business, that is completely unknown outside of SE Qld, and a virtual rib joint definitely seem like the more things change the more they stay the same.
