I have thousands of relatives in Kalimantan and at least a thousand friends throughout Indonesia. Yes the Covid is devastating but proper provisions stricter than Australia are in place. My mother in law was shocked to be turned away from local market by security because the number inside was capacity. The Indonesians are extremely well informed about Covid. Central Kalimantan is very well organised in preventative measures. I have been there and been subjected to the procedures. Whilst onsite, I had to wear a mask at all times and had to report to Medical Centre every day to be checked for Covid.
