In mining its always possible to find an environmental issue if you look hard enough.
It appears enviroment & natural resources secretary Lopez wanted to find something.
She has been quoted as saying, "open pit mining is madness"
Oceana's Philippines mine is operating responsibly and legally. But to Lopez it may look like an eyesore extracting sovereign wealth that belongs to its citizens.
Hopefully it's just a miner issue.
