Hi Chewy. I agree with you. Im not advocating giving up on the volcanics. The way forward is probably (see below) to continue to attack every volcanic target that meets tough criteria,hoping to improve drilling techniques every time the drill goes down so as to attain lower fall-off rates PLUS a sustained attack on the WB sandstone targets that are so well documented,including improving the deliverabilty of the tricky,waxy product to the refinery (which I suspect is still being extracted from the wells by heating the oil just short of the wellhead and rushing the oil by tanker to the refinery 4 hours away so the tanker gets there before the oil "freezes"- I could be wrong here though).
I say "probably "above because I dont think any of us know what the volcanic wells are producing at so I cant get a bead on how good or bad the volcanic regime is and have to trust the partners judgement to drill about 2 volcanics in 2011 for every 1 sandstone well.
You have been a SH for a while- which well would you like as a gift ,the 550bopd one or the 5000bopd one ?
