The speed of technology

When we think about the sudden rise in EV's, lithium batteries and renewable energy we would do well to caste our minds back a mere 100years - circa 1920 to the age of our fathers (those of us here in our mid 60s and beyond). In that year of 1920 (August) the very first radio news broadcast was aired, there were no jet plane's, automobiles were a new and exiting invention and the medical field was still brutal and relatively unsophisticated.
So look where we are now in terms of exponential, technological innovation and progress - and how the next 100 years of this dynamic will be compressed into a fraction of that time; say 10 years, and how the majority of analysts seem not to comprehend the sheer speed of this change, which can often blindside the best of us in its rapidity.
Amongst all this tech innovation the renewable/storage sectors of energy stands as one of the most important sectors of this brave new world of exponential growth, of which the energy storage component is solely reliant on lithium, for the most part. The tech will no doubt improve in line with growth to complement this speed of change; and the analysts of today will be shaking their heads at the morrow.
