    Explored the capabilities and properties of carbonized hemp hurd nanocomposites through a sponsored research project with Ecofibre, Australia. Conducted research and development for biodegradable polymer composite-based products with a transdisciplinary team of student researchers. Performed thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). Also conducted research in the antibacterial effects of utilizing hemp in various applications. Worked with faculty and other students to create test methods through AATCC testing standards. Imaged and analyzed test results for documentation and publication.


    Hemp black is a silver member of the aatcc. It's $750 per year.
