I think it is time to stand up and be counted, I don?t claim to be the brightest light on the Christmas tree but know if public opinion turns against the coal seam gas industry. It?s not just going to be my shares that are hurting, but the mums and dads trying to make ends meet who will feel the pain of higher costs of living.

I?ve noticed a groundswell of opinion at hot-copper against the media bias of the ABC, I?m new to this site and have been impressed by the level of intelligence some show in the debate on the pros and cons of the industry.

My point is that we?re preaching to the converted, having just watched Gas-land for the first time I can understand some of the concerns that people unfamiliar with this industry may have about the damage coal seam gas could impose on the environment.

I?m only glad the documentary wasn?t better made, the point I see between America and Australia is that Australia could have world?s best practices and be a leader in the field, this would not only be advantageous for our share price, but a point of difference for countries looking to select companies for the extractions of coal seam gas.

So for my little bit, I plan to write the odd e-mail to the ABC or any other outlet that I feel may advance the cause of this industry, and would love to see copies of anyone?s efforts posted here at Hot-copper.

On a tangent, I remember going to Turkey about 20 years ago and seeing flames coming out of the ground in a place called Olympia, and I?m pretty sure there was no coal seem gas industry anywhere near the place.

I think we could clean the floor with some of the inaccurate rants given by the other side, but that?s not to say we wouldn?t need to be measured in an email campaign to the ABC, who knows it might be worth a go.

    Kind regards Monkeyboy.

    PS (second) it?s SNV.

PPS. The squeaky wheel gets the oil, or should I say gas.
