Slappi I will give it to westpac though I would rather all the banks pass on the cut to sme than mortgages. SME are important to the economy as whole and employ a lot of people and this cut and others towards these vital enterprises is extremely important. While it might gather votes bullying the banks in the end its the sme's that are the heart beat of our economy and if a cut allows them to function better I am all for it being passed on to them rather than home mortgages. As it will be the SME's that lead us out of this recession as they move faster and are far more responsive to economic needs than big business once recovery starts. So kudos to Westpac and Gail Kelly for some real foresight into the Australia economic landscape and sending the cut to our economic heart.
