I wouldn’t bet on it but maybe, just maybe, you could put the proposal to the new Queensland Premier. After all, he’s reported today to have said that he’s open to approving new coal mines in Queensland — despite last week’s resolution from COP28 and Miles’ support for ‘going harder’ on net zero targets and emission reductions. Rationality and consistency have never been Labor’s strong suits!
