I topped up today on weakness at $0.965 because:
- U3O8 spot just keeps going up,
- most uranium equities have been under pressure (I.e. doesn't appear to be anything PDN specific, e.g. project issues)
So why are equities under pressure?
Possibles are:
- they are predicting that U3O8 spot is going to slump.
- profit taking
- EOFY (USA) tax loss selling (ie. locking in gains to offset other losses)
- uranium ETF funds selling to raise cash for dividend payments (I see juniors and miners went ex.div on 14 Dec)
- some of the above have hooked in the momentum traders.
Hopefully not the first one, any or all of the rest would result in a Happy New Year.
