the free market cannot because it has been prohibited at the federal level for decades.
now its all 'why cant muh free market do it' while willfully ignorant of government policies that have prohibited it for literal decades.
it doesnt matter, as ive said in a prior post it wont get built, the entire issue has become politicised and devoid of any sensible or logical conversation about something as important as our national energy grid/security. Wont affect myself too much or those with means, power prices triple ill just install batteries and disconnect from the grid completely.
