If you did your due diligence youd soon find 7 odd countries that have achieved 100 % renewables. This is not fanciful, and the science backs it up all the way everyday of the year, has done for a long while now - to argue against this is just stupid sorry.
This is also not giving credit to a relatively new and developing uptake of energy production, unlike nuclear with a pretty developed precedence for analysis. Full uptake of renewables takes time and consistancy in policy. Unlike those other 7 countries, Australia has lacked this consistancy on energy policy going back 20 years. Again labour has been in power for the last 3 years so can hardly be to blame for the position we are in and the lacklustre attempts to date in addressing the issues.
