I'll even go as far as to say SA has the perfect conditions for solar and wind, given its sparse, sunny nature and strong southerlies, but it is still struggling to make renewables work without 40% gas in the mix.
What hope will VIC, NSW, and QLD have with their higher-density energy requirements and different geography affecting wind? One-third of the state, including the ocean 20km out, will be solar panels and wind turbines.
I'm wondering at what stage Australia thinks this is a dumb idea and that we need more of an energy mix of baseload, perhaps at the next election.
I'll even go as far as to say SA has the perfect conditions for...
