Biden signs bipartisan nuclear package into law - E&E News by POLITICO (eenews.net)President Joe Biden signed landmark nuclear energy legislation Tuesday, marking the first time a broad energy-related package has become law since the Inflation Reduction Act.
The ADVANCE Act sailed through both the Senate and House in overwhelmingly bipartisan votes as part of S. 870, the “Fire Grants and Safety Act.”
The measure will implement broad changes at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to ensure the next generation of nuclear, known as advanced reactors, get off the ground.
