The reactors can run for as long as we like, but what's often discounted or excluded is the maintenance and upkeep for nuclear life extensions.
They're not cheap and if anything, they get more and more expensive over time. Meanwhile solar pv and batteries keep getting cheaper and cheaper year on year. Nuclear is well and good but anyone thinking it's cheap is delusional.
