    I believe if Westinghouse can reduce the per-unit cost of each AP1000 to around $7.5 billion, it could be a game changer for the energy sector. I'm not naive—I know they need to get everything right—but cutting back on red tape would definitely help lower both the time and cost to build.

    If they can complete the first ten reactors, future costs and construction times should drop significantly, much like what we've seen in China, where repeated builds lead to greater efficiency. My gut feeling is they will get backing for this, and some will come from tech and heavy industry because they need to get these first 10 underway.
