    Projected Demand

India’s nuclear expansion plans—targeting 100 GW by 2047—will require a dramatic increase in uranium supply:

    • Current fleet (7.5 GW): Needs ~600–700 tonnes of yellowcake annually.

    • Future fleet (100 GW): Could require 10,000–12,000 tonnes per year, depending on reactor types and fuel cycles.

The Laggards who will be caught short of fuel are going to make this a fun space for miners for a long time.

China has taken a big head start in preparing for its nuclear fuel needs. India is getting set this week and many of the rest are still on holidays
