I can’t get my head around why you are concerned about the short interest here. The entire sector has been shorted on the ASX and it should be evident to any U geek that there their strategy is flawed. My take is they are just reallocating closed short positions from one company to another as the risk dissipates from operations. Yes, there is some operational risk here but hardly enough to justify 16% shorts.
