Grant puts together some great graphs. Lately, there’s been a lot of noise about China leading the way in solar and wind, supposedly becoming a renewable energy powerhouse.
But honestly, it’s mostly rubbish — coal remains the dominant source of electricity there, and that’s not likely to change anytime soon. I'm sure China is getting rich selling us intermittent rubbish whilst they keep their baseload pumping.
