    I suspect Trivedi was getting confused. Their analysis showed the value of retail trades as a proportion of total retail, which is a totally different metric.

    The increase Trivedi showed us simply demonstrates retail holders are beginning to trade the stock a little, not that their proportion of holdings is increasing. Makes sense that they would given the volatility.

    There's an urban myth about Rockerfella selling all his stock in a holding when the bell boy at his hotel gave him a tip on it; the sentiment being it'd become too popular for there to be any prospect of future increased value.

    I don't believe this holds true in the age of SMSFs or in the U sector which clearly has more to go despite the volatility. Wake me up in two years when the supply side becomes more certain and Mums and Dads are buying DYL through AusSuper. That's when I'll sell.
