The costs of fire suppression systems, cost of actual fire incidents, insurance costs, maintenance and monitoring equipment, then mix in community concern, and with Australia's generally hot and dry climate, Lithium batteries for large scale storage is just a bad idea and has to honestly be approaching the costs of vrfb at this point all things considered.
Now Vincent Algar is no longer at AVL, I wouldn't mind him being thrown a few dollars from within our industry to be right on top of these incidents and loudly spouting the benefits of vanadium batteries over lithium.
