Winston Churchill would have been up there with Hitler in his cruelty and madness, if the allied powers had lost WW2. In all probability, he would have been the cruel one & Hitler the nice guy.
History is written by the victors.
One instance. in 1943 Churchill could have prevented the death of over 2.5 million men women and children in Bengal. Food supplies were diverted by him for use of British soldiers and to bring up European stockpiles.
These were not used, while millions starved to death.
