The Liberal Party Federal Council has endorsed the move to remove consumer and competition law exemptions for eco-charities. ( http://www.examiner.com.au/story/2382849/activist-charities-targeted/?cs=95 )

This is good news for VMS going forward, and removes one of the major legal supports for legal-pest organisations like STT/TNC.

It's another step towards making the Greens political party more directly accountable for their job-destroying policies, as it makes it harder for them to set-up and support these militant sub-groups that do their 'wet-work' for them (while they claim clean hands and keep passing themselves off as left-progressives in the parliament).  If the Greens want people chaining themselves to work-sites and taking vexatious legal action in the courts, they may have to be more direct about it, now that the financial means to run these sub-groups is being squeezed. This will essentially lead to the centralisation of eco-politics, which should lead to more scrutiny and transparency (and more pain at the ballot box for the Greens if they run job-destroying campaigns).
