As for FDA, not a concern as they all come from the same already approved device family - remember they filed the 510k for the Unitract Tuberculin in April 2010 and got it five months later, 2 September.
EZMix was developed "in direct response to the unmet needs of pharmaceutical companies seeking an innovative and convenient delivery system for the reconstitution and administration of lyophilized drugs and vaccines."
Anyone care to hazard a guess as to what the term "in direct response" means?
It means that the pharmas approached Unilife, told them what they wanted and needed, and asked them to design and make it. Why did they come to Unilife? Because Unilife is the only device manufacturer in the world with the capacity to achieve what the pharmas wanted. Becton couldn't do it. Neither could Medtronic. How do I know this? Because Becton and Medtronic DIDN'T do it - Unilife did! Less than a year later Unilife delivered.
So will they be lining up to buy it? Yes, they will! Probably already are....
Guess that's also why all the top-level talent from the likes of Becton and Medtronic are lining up to join Unilife. LOL!
