I'm interested to know what people think was behind the strategy...

I'm interested to know what people think was behind the strategy to pin the share price to an unknown variable They obviously didn't want to drive the share price down by announcing a discount to the last closing price. If that was the case they failed miserably.
My first reaction was that the BOD think the price will be higher by the 25th Feb but of course that may be just wishful thinking on my part.
No doubt there's a reason why they didn't announce a fixed price Was it they didn't want holders to panic and sell their stake before an important announcement. I have added to my potfolio since yesterday and will continue to add if the price weakens.
What do others think?
