incorect bcc.... Chamberlain sought "appeasement" with Hitler.... trying to offer terms which he hoped would mollify Hitler and his "last territorial demands" in the hope of preventing further conflict. of course Hitler agreed as a means of appeasing Chamberlain from making such efforts and convincing Chamberlain he had succeeded.
