    Scotty when I was growing up, people who drank
    regularly or binged drank were looked upon as
    almost social outcasts. I remember on the rare
    occasions I saw adults drink, that it was drummed
    into me that is was an adult activity and that it
    should be done responsibly.
    Nowadays it seems that drinking like a crazed
    alcoholic is all the rage and I see lots of adults
    setting a bad example and getting hammered in
    front of their children and think nothing of it.

    I went to a 21st birthday party recently and got
    asked numerous times “ are you driving tonight “
    . or “ not drinking tonight big night last night?”.

    I couldn’t believe the looks on people’s faces
    when I said that I don’t drink.
    I used to be in a group that went four wheel
    driving and camping. When I stopped drinking,
    a couple of decades ago, I no longer got invited
    on these trips.
    Alas , these days as a tea total I am the social
    outcast.
