Regarding Afghanistan. Surely there is a greater chance of equality and a reduction in poverty by keeping the Taliban ousted.
On a side issue, it wasn't the U.N. who prevented another 9/11 attack. It was Howard/Bush/Blair. I mention the U.N. because if they agree, it seems to make it 'all right' for Labor.
Who was Labor boss at the time - Crean, Latham, Beasley? Well whoever it was said they would agree going into Iraq if the U.N. santioned it. The ones to veto were Russia and France.
So Labor put the decision of sending our soldiers into Iraq in the hands of the Moscovites and the Frogs.
