Anyone who follows the AFL will be aware just what an insurmountable exercise it is to change the culture of an organisation. It takes a decade at the minimum, sometimes decades! Colliwobbles, Essendon's drug saga continues, there's many more but I don't want to deflect from the main issue. The difference with some AFL clubs who have a toxic culture is that's it's localized, it's one team ouf of 18 and in a country with competing similar sports.

With the poms it's global, they're the international team and the stakes within the organisation, the prestige within and the egos within would be off the charts and within a hair's breadth of being impossible to move the dial. From the Chairman down to the 'boot studder' there would be an unshakeable belief on an individual level. change is nigh on impossible and groups will have formed within this organisation... the culture would be TOXIC and irreversible.

All thanks to Australia's cricket team for bringing it to the surface... 'Moral Victory' tried to sandpaper over the cracks but the only thing it's dome is made England's demise terminal
