why would the regulators reject that Sinopec LCK proposition?
That would be a drawbridge type protectionist measure and put Australia’s economy into a further tailspin like what happened when Frydenberg’s FIRB rejected APA Group TO Bid by CKI and the Santos Takeover by Harbor.
President Xi would get a really bad signal from Australia if that happened and for that reason, I think FIRB would support Sinopec taking it over.
BTW I think we are waiting for a director to buy in, when we have a directors’ interest statement, I think LCK will whipsaw back into life and move towards the 20s.
