Australians should be very careful what they wish for when it comes to the value of the AUD.

For those of us living overseas, bank dividends aren't nearly enough to offset the losses made in currency exchange. If the AUD continues to drop as quickly as it has over the past few weeks there is going to be a massive sell off of the banks and that's a recipe for a feedback loop that might not be so easily controlled.

Another member suggested an XJO back in the 3000s would be a good thing. He/she might get his wish... In the past year, the Italian and Spanish markets have both outperformed the ASX, perhaps we can go the hat-trick and be outperformed by the Greeks as well.
