Yellowtail is a brand and they do a Shiraz. I had a friend who was French and we talked about wines as I know very little and he was an expert.. I asked him the same question. He told me that the secret was to buy a wine that will not offend anybody when it is drunk. There is no need to be clever and choose a strong falvour as it could offend. So if you are drinking with friends, Yellowtail Shiraz is perfect. Economical , good flavour and will not offend. If you are visiting someone and you do not want to be seen as cheap, he suggested a classic Châteauneuf-du-Pape. More sophisticated, more expensive and instantly recognizable for its quality. Works for me.
