As I recall MT had grown weary of chasing gold discoveries and was looking to a future resource which would be a true bonanza.
Way back then he already believed in the electrification of the world. He felt battery metals would be a good thing to exploit.
one day he cut a battery in half to show his son how it worked. He was struck by how much graphite was in it.
That was his epiphany.
He travelled the world looking for the best graphite resource and found a seller in Sweden.
