You have mentioned that PVD is going after an unproven play, in what way is this different to TPT? Isn't the Middle Jurassic unproven and the best result from the Upper Jurassic was heavy oil and non-commercial?
I'm curious as to how easy it is for TPT to pull the bid. If it is as simple as some people are making out then the "free look" at Cap Juby could work both ways. Is it possible that TPT could have been planning to pull the bid if Cap Juby hits the motherload? It almost seems that the more TPT need JKA the less likely they are to get them and conversely the more JKA want to be a part of TPT the less likely it is to happen. Strange times.
