Thank you @wotsup, I appreciate that you believe that Deu 18:18 refers to Jesus as per your quotes from John. In my opinion in Deut 18:18 God was addressing Moses and reassuring the brethren that they would not be left leaderless after the death of Moses and not referring to a prophet some 1500-plus years down the track.
