This is where me and me ol mate Snooker disagree....and I"M RIGHT......!!!!!!! :)))))))
The Old Testament is seen by devout Jews as not only a document of faith but an historical text.
I see it as much more the document of faith and give little credibility to the events in the form that are protrayed in the Bible.
Too many inconsistencies for me.
Ie....if Cain killed Abel and they were the sons of the first man, how then does Cain go into the village and get a stigmata for murder?
Where'd the village come from?????
But as an illustration of religious point - a powerful and easy to remember story.
