    Of course you can drive an ev from Noosa to Sydney. There are heaps of charging points along the way that give you all sorts of options.

    I could argue that I want to tow a caravan across the Simpson with a Toyota Corolla. Does the fact that a Corolla can't do the job mean that it is a rubbish car and all the Corollas that come after it are rubbish cars ?

    300km round trip ? A Tesla does that easily.

    No one is saying evs are perfect. What people are saying is that they are improving rapidly, in range, in price and in practicality. Based on that improvement rate, they will be a viable alternative for most Australians in the next decade or so. Possibly much sooner than that.

    No blowhard big talker statements required.
