Agreed, that's why we need to try and avoid the spikes in the SP. Generally it is nothing more than traders and manipulators manoeuvring the SP to take advantage of sentiment, news or whatever else they can get their scummy hands on. All they really succeed in doing is educating people to take a backward step and not invest as they feel that there is the likelihood they will pick stock up cheaper
What I really like to see is a slow and steady rise in the SP that comes from milestones and news.
