Fair comment and question I've been a tradie all my life and mingle with other tradies, I don't consider our demographic to be either rich , wealthy etc other than to say worked hard and earned above the weekly wage and did mean working hours that others at the time sneered at i.e. shift work, weekends, nights, public holidays.
I have only recently moved out of my commission house and bought my first new car at age 61? But as a comparison I mostly thought we at the bottom of the employment pile being expendable as soon as there was a downturn/ recession such as in the 70's, 80's, 90's and then again 2008/9 job was always under threat.
Maybe I did better than I give myself credit for?
