The tide has finally turned against high priced growth stocks. The Afterpay effect has finally worn off and investors are now once again asking about a little thing called profit.
I think I have listened to Clifford for the past 10 years talking about this very moment. It seems to be playing out in front of our very eyes - so now comes the part where Platinum shows us what they are made of.
It seems to me they outperform now, or start thinking of a new excuse for another decade of underperformance - as the old chestnut of blaming growth stocks is quickly disappearing.
In all seriousness, I am very curious to see how the likes of Platinum perform in the current and forthcoming market.
Hopefully for them, the blame game won't simply shift from growth mania to their big play on China/Asia not going to plan.
